In an effort to address the persistent disparities in access to digital resources and technology, NCW Tech Alliance and Thriving Together NCW celebrated September as Digital Equity Month. Throughout the month, a series of pop-up events, trainings, and meetings took place - each aiming to narrow the digital divide in our region, now and into the future.
The goal of Digital Equity Month was to raise awareness about the importance of digital equity across our 4-county region and on the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation so that, together, we can foster inclusive and accessible opportunities for all individuals to participate in the digital world.

Digital Equity means all individuals and communities have the access and technology they need to participate fully in our society, democracy, and economy. Digital Equity acknowledges that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves equal access to the internet and the devices that help us stay connected.
By focusing on Digital Equity throughout the month of September, we can increase access and opportunities throughout North Central Washington.

Recognizing the hurdles many face—from infrastructure to skills—we're committed to leveraging technology as a catalyst for change, ensuring everyone has access and the capability to thrive,” stated Jenny Rojanasthien, Executive Director of NCW Tech Alliance.

The free pop-up event will give local seniors, as well as others in the community, an opportunity to talk with a Digital Navigator to help answer technology questions.
